replacing starter button on handle bar control

I replaced the broken starter button on my 1981 XV750 with a Radio Shack momentary switch N.O. contacts. Part #275-1547.

First, remove all the old button material(spring and metal contact inside hand control box).

Second, add a ground jumper wire to the ground inside the box and solder it to one end of the new button contacts.

Third, solder the blue starter button wire to the other contact on the new button.

Finally, push the new button from the inside of the box so the new button protrudes out and fasten down with the supplied nut.

It works great and looks great too.
