This is the last thing i should be concerned about right now, but...

I just picked up some sweet six bend pullback handlebars that i want to install, but theres a problem. I knew i was going to have to replace my hydraulic brake line with a new one, but the problem here is that the handgrips will be mounted on the bars in a completely vertical manner.
I dont think the brake fluid reservoir is meant to sit that way. So i guess i can't use my new bars..
However, i was thinking, what if i were to swap front wheels and get one with a mechanical front brake. Then i wouldnt have a fluid reservior and i could get a univeral throttle handle and maybe relocate my starter button. This isnt something i would do right away, but maybe a future project.
It would be cool to have a front wheel with spokes as well.
Would it be difficult to find a compatible spoked front wheel with mechanical brake to fit my bike?

Does anyone know any wheels that are are interchangable with the virago? Either aftermarket, or from another model? I would ideally like spoked ones.. or ones with a mechanical brake.

Has anyone ever built a wheel for a virago?

You can still use your standard front master cylinder, I've done it before on a Triumph chop I once had. Just gota make sure the fluid level is good other wise you'll suck air into the line. Just give it a go :-)

kind of a "mature" post, but hasn't been marked solved, so...

@ El Cheapo-
virago had "s" models with spoke wheels (I forget which years) watch eBay &/or post in wanted.
bet you'll find some.

you can use m/c tilted, just have to have it level when top is off.
makes more work to check fluid level, but a small price to "make-it-yours".
