how does the top of the headlight bucket secure to the bike? something is missing on mine and it drops too low. i need help!

it has a bracket at the bottom...nothing on top

It also has a 6mm bolt with a fender type washer that goes through the top of the housing from the inside and into the bottom of the main switch mount.

thats what i thought. PO removed the orignal switch and relocated a different one down on left side near side cover. ill have to mock something up. thanks a lot for the help!
