After recieving the Wrong year CDI Rotor from a salvage yard online, I ended up having to tear my recent starter clutch replacement/repair all back down and reinstall using my original Rotor.

I made 5 vids and put on youtube on installing it and the starter clutch, nothing fancy but hope it helps another 535 owner facing a starter clutch repair.

A Yamaha dealer wants about $600.00 for the starter clutch repair and a tune-up so doing it yourself can save you a fair amount of your CASH.

Its not real hard to install, you can do it.

I hope this helps someone with their starter clutch repair, keep in mind, New cam and New to uploading youtube vids, hopefully they will get better as I make more. Beers

Enjoy. BurnOut

Once I take my youngest off to school this morning (1st grade) I will be adding the oil and giving her a try. Beers

I'll video it and have my fingers crossed.

Just a few things to complete on her and it should be road worthy.

Good job on the install. I did mine about 2 years ago and it's already starting to slip again, looks like I'll be tearing it down again shortly

How did you get on cleaning out the bits of metal from the engine? Any tips/thoughts from your experience?
Same thing happened to my bike, just wondering how widely distributed through the engine the bits are and how to be 100% sure they're all gone.
